Federal University Gashua (FUGASHUA) will commence the 2026/2027 academic session on Monday, 16 November 2026, with registration for returning students. Returning Students: Registration Starts on 16 November
Returning students are to begin registration on Monday, 16 November 2026. Their lectures will start one week later, on Monday, 23 November 2026.
Students should plan their return around the registration date rather than wait until lectures begin. However, the notice does not state a registration closing date or late-registration deadline.
New Students: Registration and Lectures Start on 7 December
New students will begin both registration and lectures on Monday, 7 December 2026.
This is the date specified for fresh students in the memorandum. The 16 November registration date applies to returning students.
Newly admitted students should follow the university’s separate clearance and registration instructions when preparing to resume.
Is This the Full Academic Calendar?
This notice confirms the start of the session, registration and lectures. It does not provide examination dates, semester breaks, matriculation dates or the end of the session.
Students should therefore avoid treating it as the complete 2026/2027 academic calendar.
The memorandum states that the Vice-Chancellor approved the commencement of academic activities and directs all staff and students to take note of the schedule and comply accordingly.
