Candidates who applied to the University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (UAST), Ihugh, Benue State, for the 2026/2027 session can check their admission status on JAMB CAPS. Myschool reported the admission-list release on 27 October 2026.
Successful candidates must accept their offers and print their JAMB admission letters before proceeding with the university’s registration instructions.
How to check the UAST admission list
You will need the email address and password linked to your JAMB profile.
- Open the JAMB e-Facility portal.
- Sign in with your registered email address and password.
- Select Check Admission Status.
- Click Access my CAPS.
- Open Admission Status to see whether you have received an offer.
Check the institution and course shown on your admission record. If CAPS displays only a welcome message on your phone, enable Desktop site in your browser menu and reopen the admission section.
Accepting your UAST admission offer
To accept your offer, send ACCEPT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number registered with JAMB. To decline it, send REJECT.
Candidates can also accept or reject admission using fingerprint verification at a JAMB-accredited CBT centre or JAMB office. This alternative is included in JAMB’s admission acceptance instructions.
After accepting, confirm that your response appears on CAPS, then print your JAMB admission letter for registration.
If your admission status has not changed
A Not Admitted status means no approved offer currently appears on your account. Admission in Progress means your admission is still being processed.
If the university has shortlisted you but your offer has not appeared, check these two items:
- O’Level results: Confirm that your results have been uploaded and verified on CAPS.
- Transfer Approval: Check whether you have a pending proposal for a different programme and review it before responding.
JAMB explains that an institution’s recommendation must receive its approval before the candidate’s status changes to Admitted.
UAST portal status check and fee
The UAST admissions portal also offers a separate application-status check. Post-UTME applicants enter their JAMB registration number, and the university lists a ₦2,000 status-check fee for this service.
This is a university portal charge; it does not form part of the JAMB CAPS checking steps above.
