To reprint your JAMB admission letter online, log in to JAMB e-Facility, select Print Admission Letter, and retrieve the document using the examination year and registration number linked to your admission.
If you already have the original PDF, print that file again. You do not need another JAMB portal payment to produce a paper copy of a saved document.
JAMB’s published admission-letter service fee is ₦1,000, excluding applicable payment-processing, assistance and physical printing charges. If you paid previously, check the existing transaction before starting another payment.
Choose the Right Route Before You Start
| Your situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| You saved the admission-letter PDF | Open it and print another copy |
| You lost the letter and have no saved PDF | Retrieve it through your JAMB profile |
| You paid but never received the document | Check the payment status before paying again |
| You have never printed the letter | Confirm your admission and complete the printing service |
| Your admission details have changed | Retrieve the updated letter after the approved change reflects |
Reprinting gives you another copy of a document. It does not approve admission, correct a wrong name or change your course.
What You Need to Reprint Your JAMB Admission Letter
Prepare the following:
- Your JAMB profile email address and password.
- Your JAMB registration number.
- The examination or application year associated with the admission.
- Your previous transaction reference, if you already paid.
- A phone or computer with internet access.
Use the profile connected to the admission you want to retrieve.
For a first-time print, confirm your admission and complete its acceptance before proceeding. JAMB’s admission procedure places admission acceptance before admission-letter printing.
How to Reprint JAMB Admission Letter Online
Follow these steps through the official portal:
- Open JAMB e-Facility. Log in with your registered email address and password.
- Select Print Admission Letter. Find the service on the dashboard or side menu.
- Check any previous payment. If you already paid, review the admission-letter transaction in My Payment before creating another one.
- Complete payment if required. Review the service, save the Transaction ID and use an available payment option.
- Confirm successful payment. Continue through the service once the payment is confirmed.
- Enter your examination year and registration number. These must match the admission record you need.
- Generate the letter. Review it, save a PDF and print the required copies.
These steps follow JAMB’s published admission-letter printing instructions.
Select the year belonging to your record, not the year in which you are reprinting. For example, retrieving a letter connected to a 2022 application requires the relevant 2022 record.
If you have already paid
Find the successful admission-letter transaction in your profile. Use the available continuation or printing option to reopen the document.
If the portal requests another payment, confirm that you are using the correct account and service. If the earlier successful payment still cannot be used, contact JAMB support with the transaction reference.
Do not assume that every visit to the printing page requires a fresh payment. Equally, JAMB’s public instructions do not establish an unlimited free-reprint entitlement. Keep the PDF once you retrieve it so future paper copies do not depend on reopening a portal transaction.
How Much Does It Cost to Reprint a JAMB Admission Letter?
JAMB lists the admission-letter service at ₦1,000. Your total expense depends on the work you need done.
| Item | What you are paying for |
|---|---|
| JAMB portal service | Access to the admission-letter service |
| Payment-processing charge | An additional charge displayed by the payment gateway |
| Centre assistance | Help completing the online process |
| Physical printing | Producing the paper document |
The JAMB Payment & Services page lists a ₦100 CBT service charge beside the ₦1,000 admission-letter fee. Its 2025 officials’ training manual, however, lists coloured-printing service charges of ₦200 at JAMB centres and ₦300 at non-JAMB centres. The published service charges differ, so ₦1,000 is the base service fee—not a guaranteed all-inclusive total.
Check the amount displayed before confirming payment. At a printing centre, ask for the JAMB fee and the centre’s charges separately.
If you already have the PDF, you only need the physical printing service.
How to Download Your JAMB Admission Letter on a Phone
Open the actual admission letter before saving. A payment receipt, CAPS status page or login screen is not the document you need.
On Android
Use the download button if the letter opens in a PDF viewer.
If it opens as a webpage in Chrome:
- Open the browser menu.
- Select Share, then Print.
- Choose Save as PDF as the destination.
- Check the full document in the preview.
- Save it to your phone.
These are Chrome’s standard Android printing controls.
On iPhone
When the PDF opens in Safari, use the sharing options to save it to Files. Apple’s PDF-saving instructions explain the available controls.
Before leaving the portal
Open the saved file from your phone’s storage and check that:
- Every page is present.
- Your details are readable.
- The edges of the document are not cut off.
- You saved the letter rather than a payment or login page.
Use a recognisable filename, such as JAMB-Admission-Letter-2026.pdf, with the year relevant to your admission.
Send the file to a printing centre as a PDF document. A screenshot can crop information and reduce print quality.
How to Reprint a Lost Admission Letter
Check your Downloads folder, email attachments and personal backup storage first. If a centre printed the letter for you previously, ask whether it still has the file.
Print the saved PDF if it is complete and the admission details remain correct.
If no copy is available, retrieve the letter through your JAMB profile using the steps above. Losing a paper copy alone is not a reason to apply for a change of admission letter.
If JAMB has since approved a correction to your admission record, retrieve the updated document instead of printing the outdated file.
How to Retrieve an Admission Letter From Previous Years
Use the examination year and registration number associated with the original admission.
If the year is unavailable or the portal cannot retrieve the record, contact JAMB support with:
- The original admission year.
- Your registration number.
- The institution and course.
- Any old admission letter, result slip or registration document you still have.
For an inaccessible old account, explain the account-access problem as well.
A missing online record does not, by itself, establish that you need regularisation. Ask JAMB or your institution’s admission office to identify the problem before paying for a different service.
What to Do If You Paid but Cannot Print
A bank debit and a successful JAMB portal transaction are not the same confirmation. Check the transaction status in your profile.
| Payment situation | Next step |
|---|---|
| Your account was debited, but the transaction is pending | Keep the reference and check its status before making another payment |
| The transaction is successful, but the letter will not open | Return to the service and use its continuation or printing option |
| The transaction failed, but your account was debited | Contact the payment provider or bank about the debit, and JAMB about the service transaction |
| The portal asks for payment again | Confirm the account and service, then report the earlier successful transaction to JAMB |
Keep the receipt, Transaction ID and a screenshot of the error. Do not repeatedly pay to solve a document-display problem.
Why Your JAMB Admission Letter Is Not Showing
Your admission has not been completed on JAMB
Check the selected examination year, registration number and admission status.
If your school has offered admission but CAPS still shows Not Admitted or Admission in Progress, check:
- Whether your O’Level results were uploaded and verified.
- Whether the institution submitted its admission recommendation.
- Whether an outstanding transfer proposal needs your response.
These checks appear in JAMB’s official support guidance. The printing service cannot complete an unresolved admission process.
You forgot your password
Select Forgot your Password? on the JAMB login page and follow the recovery instructions.
If you remember the password but cannot open your email inbox, try signing in with the registered email address and password. Inbox access becomes a separate issue when you need a recovery message.
If recovery is blocked because you no longer control the linked contact details, contact JAMB support. Creating another profile does not recover the admission record connected to your existing account.
You cannot find your registration number
Check your registration slip, result slip, previous admission letter and saved school application documents.
JAMB also lists a separate Retrieval of Registration Number service. Password recovery and registration-number retrieval solve different problems.
The page is blank or the print button does nothing
Try these checks:
- Look for a newly opened browser tab or a downloaded file.
- Allow a blocked pop-up for the official JAMB site.
- Enable desktop view if controls are hidden on your phone.
- Try another browser or a computer.
- Retry later if the portal is unavailable.
Record any persistent error message. Browser changes can help a display problem; they cannot correct an admission record or unresolved payment.
What If the Letter Shows the Wrong Course or Institution?
Compare the letter with your CAPS and school admission records.
If the underlying record is wrong, another printout will reproduce the error. Contact your institution’s admission office and JAMB to establish the appropriate correction or change-of-admission procedure.
If you recently accepted a course transfer, confirm that you completed the required course-change steps and that the approved programme reflects in your record before generating the replacement letter.
Do not edit the PDF yourself. The document must match the admission recorded by JAMB. JAMB lists correction and change-of-admission services separately from ordinary printing.
Check Your Printout Before Submitting It
Confirm your name, registration number, institution and course. Print the complete document, including any separately labelled copies provided.
JAMB’s 2025 training manual describes admission-letter printing as coloured printing. Use a clear colour printout and follow your institution’s submission requirements.
These documents serve different purposes:
| Document | Purpose |
|---|---|
| JAMB admission letter | Documents the admission recorded by JAMB |
| CAPS admission-status page | Shows the current admission status |
| Institution-issued registration or acceptance document | Serves the institution’s own administrative process |
| JAMB result slip | Records your examination result |
| UTME examination slip | Shows examination arrangements |
The UTME examination-slip reprinting portal is not the admission-letter printing service.
How to Report an Unresolved Printing Problem
Submit a complaint through the JAMB Support Ticketing System. State exactly where the process stops.
Include your registration number, examination year, relevant payment reference and the error message. For example:
“My admission-letter payment shows successful, but the printing option returns the attached error.”
Attach the receipt and screenshot where relevant. Never include your password, card PIN or one-time password.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I print my JAMB admission letter without visiting a CBT centre?
Yes. JAMB lists admission-letter printing among services accessible online from an internet-enabled system. You can retrieve the document yourself and take the PDF to a printing centre.
Can I reprint using only my registration number?
The e-Facility login requires your registered email address and password. Your registration number is used to retrieve the admission record after login.
If you already have the PDF, you can print that file without logging in again.
Is there a deadline for reprinting?
Follow the deadline in any JAMB notice or institutional clearance instruction that applies to you. An admission-acceptance deadline and a school’s document-submission deadline are different from a general reprinting deadline.
Retrieve the letter before your clearance date so there is time to resolve payment or record problems.
Does printing the letter complete my matriculation-list requirements?
No. JAMB’s matriculation-list instructions require candidates to print their admission letter and result slip, then have both verified by the institution’s admission officer. Check your matriculation-list status separately.
