Eligibility Criteria

To apply for GVU’s 2025/2026 programs:

  • UTME Applicants:
  • Five O’Level credits in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
  • Minimum UTME score of 180 (based on 2024/2025 cutoff).
  • GVU must be your first or second choice in JAMB.
  • Direct Entry Applicants:
  • A-Level, OND, HND, NCE, IJMB, or JUPEB with at least a merit pass or lower credit.
  • Five O’Level credits as above.
  • Transfer/Conversion Applicants:
  • Meet O’Level requirements and provide current university transcripts.

Candidates awaiting O’Level results may apply but must upload results before admission closes.

  1. Visit gvu.edu.ng and click “Generate Admission Access Pin/Serial Code.”
  2. Create an account using your JAMB registration number and email.
  3. Pay the ₦6,000 application fee via Remita or bank transfer.
  4. Complete the online form with personal and academic details.
  5. Upload scanned copies of O’Level results, JAMB result, and DE/transfer credentials (if applicable).
  6. Submit the form and save your Applicant ID to check admission status.

Didn’t choose GVU? Apply for a Change of Institution through JAMB, then complete the GVU online application.
