Tips to Meet FUAZ Cut-Off Marks
- Aim for a Safe Score: While the general cut-off is 140, target 150+ for programs like Computer Science to be competitive.
- Prepare for Post-UTME: FUAZ’s Post-UTME covers English, Mathematics, and program-specific subjects (e.g., Agricultural Science for Crop Science). Practice past questions from federal universities to score above 55% for competitive programs.
- Choose Accessible Courses: Programs like Crop Science, Animal Science, and Fisheries have the lowest cut-off (140), making them easier to qualify for.
- Verify O’Level Results: Ensure your results meet the subject requirements (e.g., Biology, Chemistry for Fisheries).
Why Choose FUAZ?
FUAZ’s general cut-off mark of 140 is one of the lowest among federal universities, making it highly accessible for candidates with moderate JAMB scores. Its focus on agriculture and sciences, with programs like Crop Science, Fisheries, and Computer Science, aligns with Nigeria’s agricultural and technological development goals. FUAZ’s mission to boost employment and revenue in Kebbi State makes it a strategic choice for students interested in agribusiness and rural development.
However, the lack of publicly available departmental cut-offs may create uncertainty for candidates, and competitive programs like Computer Science may require higher scores due to demand. Compared to FUAM, FUAZ has a lower general cut-off but fewer program options. Candidates should monitor fuaz.edu.ng for Post-UTME dates and departmental updates.
