Federal University of Applied Sciences Kachia Cut Off Mark 2025/2026

Last Updated on 2 months ago by Haruna Ayuba

What is the Federal University of Applied Sciences Kachia cut off mark for 2025/2026? The Federal University of Applied Sciences Kachia (FUASK) general JAMB cut-off mark is 180 for the 2025/2026 academic session. However, competitive programs like Medicine require a higher scores of at least 240 and above and a minimum of 210 for Nursing.

The Federal University of Applied Sciences Kachia (FUASK), located in Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State, Nigeria, is a newly established federal institution that began academic activities in 2025. Formerly known as NOK University, it was taken over by the Federal Government in 2024 following a court order due to illegal financing by its initial owner.

FUASK now offers over 15 programs including Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Software Engineering and Environmental Resource Management, aiming to drive development in the region. The general cut-off mark of 180 aligns with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) minimum for federal universities, but departmental cut-offs for competitive courses are higher, based on trends in similar institutions.

This post provides a detailed breakdown of FUASK’s cut-off marks, admission requirements, and application tips, compared to options like UNIOSUN (cut-off: 160; see UNIOSUN School Fees 2024/2025).

FUASK Admission Requirements for 2025/2026

  • JAMB Requirement: Minimum score of 180 for all programs; Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing typically require 200 or above. Check your result now (see How to Check JAMB Result via SMS 2025).
  • O’Level Requirement: Five credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent). Relevant subjects like Biology, Chemistry, and Physics are required for Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing.
  • Post-UTME Screening: FUASK conducts a Post-UTME screening for all candidates. A minimum score of 50% is typically required, but competitive programs may demand higher scores (e.g., 70% for Medicine).
  • Direct Entry: Candidates with ND, HND, or A’Level qualifications (e.g., IJMB, JUPEB) can apply for 200-level admission. A minimum of 10 points in IJMB is often required for competitive courses.
  • Application Process: FUASK has been included in JAMB’s admission portal for 2025/2026 student applications, as confirmed by Bishop Matthew Kukah. Apply via jamb.gov.ng, select FUASK as your first choice, and participate in the Post-UTME screening.

Tips to Meet FUASK Cut-Off Marks

  • Aim High in JAMB: For competitive programs like Medicine, target a JAMB score of 240 or above to increase your chances.
  • Prepare for Post-UTME: FUASK’s Post-UTME typically covers English, Mathematics, and program-specific subjects (e.g., Biology for Nursing). Practice past questions from similar federal universities.
  • Choose Less Competitive Courses: If your JAMB score is below 200, consider programs like Microbiology or industrial chemistry, which have lower cut-off marks.
  • Check Your Eligibility: Ensure your O’Level results meet the subject requirements for your program (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology for Pharmacy).

Why Choose FUASK?

FUASK’s general cut-off mark of 180 makes it accessible for many candidates, while its focus on applied sciences (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, SoftwareEngineering) and healthcare programs (Medicine, Nursing) aligns with modern career demands.

The university’s establishment fulfills a promise by President Bola Tinubu to the people of Southern Kaduna, aiming to drive growth and development, as noted by Bishop Matthew Kukah.

However, competitive programs like Medicine (Cut-off mark: 240) may be challenging for candidates with lower JAMB scores, and the newness of FUASK means infrastructure and facilities are still developing compared to established universities like UNIOSUN.

The inclusion in JAMB’s portal ensures a streamlined admission process, but candidates should monitor fuask.edu.ng for Post-UTME dates and departmental cut-off updates.

Does FUASK’s cut-off mark of 180 meet your expectations?
