The UNILAG admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session is out on JAMB CAPS. Candidates who applied to the University of Lagos can log in to check their admission status and respond to their offers. Admission uploads are ongoing in batches, so candidates will not all receive their decisions at the same time.
How to Check the UNILAG Admission List
You need the login details for your JAMB account.
- Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal.
- Log in to your account.
- Select Check Admission Status.
- Click Access my CAPS.
- Open Regular Admission Status to view your decision.
If offered admission, check the institution and course carefully before accepting. After acceptance, print your JAMB admission letter.
What Your Admission Status Means
Your CAPS status shows how far your application has progressed.

| Admitted or admission approved | JAMB has approved your offer. You can accept or reject it. |
| Admission in progress | Processing is still underway; an approved offer is not yet available. |
| Not admitted | No approved offer is showing on your account yet. |
An unchanged status can have several causes. JAMB identifies missing O’Level results, a pending institutional recommendation and an unanswered programme transfer as issues candidates should check.
Offered a Different Course?
Open Transfer Approval in CAPS to see whether UNILAG has proposed another programme.
Read the course details and respond to the transfer request. Accepting a transfer allows consideration for that programme; you must still return to the admission-status section to accept the final offer when it appears.
UNILAG Screening for Newly Admitted Students
Newly admitted UTME and Direct Entry candidates must complete toxicology screening—a drug test—before admission screening and registration.

Book through the screening appointment form linked in UNILAG’s screening notice. Print the appointment slip sent to your email and bring it with proof of payment.
To pay:
- Open the UNILAG student portal.
- Log in with your JAMB registration number and surname in lowercase as the initial password.
- Change the default password and complete your biodata.
- Select Payment, then Generate Fees for 2026/2027.
- Generate the toxicology payment advice, pay through the approved channel and keep your receipt.
What to Do If You Have Not Been Admitted
Check that your O’Level results appear correctly in CAPS and review Transfer Approval for any pending request. Continue checking your admission status while processing continues.
If UNILAG has shortlisted you but CAPS still shows no offer, the university’s recommendation and JAMB’s approval must both be completed before the offer becomes available. For an unresolved CAPS problem, submit a complaint through JAMB Support, stating your registration number and the exact message on your account.
