The Nigeria Police Academy (NPA), Wudil, Kano, is now accepting applications for the 11th Regular Course for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The cut-off mark is 180, and the application window is open until 18th November 2026. Candidates admitted will undergo a five-year combined academic and police training program, earning a Bachelor’s degree and commission into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
Admission Requirements
To apply for the Nigeria Police Academy, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be of Nigerian origin by birth.
- Must have a valid National Identity Number (NIN) and a JAMB score of 180 or above.
- Must select Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil as their first choice in JAMB.
- Must possess at least six credits in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
- Must be aged between 17 and 21 by 31st October 2026.
- Must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.
- Male applicants must be at least 1.67m tall; female applicants must be 1.64m tall.
- Male applicants must have a minimum expanded chest measurement of 86cm (34 inches).
- Applicants must not be married or pregnant at the time of admission.
- Must have a valid email address and phone number.
- SSCE results or certificates from before 2021 will not be accepted.

How to Apply for NPA Admission Form
Interested applicants should visit the Nigeria Police Academy’s website at https://admission.polac.edu.ng to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code. A non-refundable fee of N5,500 (including N2,000 for the POST UTME examination) is required.
After successful payment, fill out the form and upload scanned copies of your SSCE results, birth certificate, and state of origin certificate.
Additionally, candidates must apply through JAMB and sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
While candidates need not select NPA as their university of choice, only those who score 180 or above in JAMB and purchase the academy’s online application form will be eligible to sit for the selection examination.
NPA Entrance Examination Date and Conditions
The Nigeria Police Academy Selection Examination will be computer-based (CBT) and comprise of:
- General Paper (Section A): Compulsory for all candidates, covering general knowledge, current affairs, English Language, and Mathematics.
- Faculty-Specific Sections: To be selected based on the candidate’s faculty of choice.
The exam date will be announced on the academy’s website. Candidates are required to bring their Acknowledgement Form, Examination Card, current JAMB Result Slip, and two Postcard-size photographs. Only those who meet the cut-off mark of 180 will be eligible to sit for the examination.
Physical Screening and Selection Process
Eligible candidates who pass the CBT will be invited for automated physical and medical screenings at the academy. Applicants must present original copies of the following documents:
- Educational qualifications
- Birth certificate or declaration of age
- Medical fitness certificate from a recognized hospital
- Evidence of good character from village or district head
- Indigene certificate signed by Local Government Chairman
- Guarantor form from a public servant not below GL13, a police officer not below CSP, or an equivalent rank in the armed forces
Training and Course Duration
Candidates admitted into the Nigeria Police Academy degree program will undergo five years of combined academic and police training. Successful candidates will earn a Bachelor’s degree and be commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP).
Important Notices
- Applicants must upload scanned copies of their WAEC/NECO result, birth certificate, and certificate of origin.
- Any updates regarding the 11th Regular Course will be communicated via the Academy website or its call center (09166611162).
- The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has assured that the admission process will be conducted with transparency and accountability. He warns applicants to beware of scammers and advises that anyone caught engaging in fraudulent activities will be prosecuted.
