Make this easier to read

High-Flyers University offers Nursing Science, Computer Science, Accounting, Medical Laboratory Science, Software Engineering and other undergraduate courses across three faculties. For 2026/2027 admission, UTME applicants need five relevant O’Level credits and must meet the JAMB requirements for their chosen course. Direct Entry applicants need an accepted higher qualification alongside their O’Level results.

The university is located in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State. Its courses cover management and social sciences, science and computing, and allied health sciences.

General Admission Requirements

Applicants can enter through UTME or Direct Entry. Both routes require the relevant O’Level subjects; the difference is the additional qualification used for admission.

For UTME admission, you need to:

  • Have at least five relevant SSCE or equivalent credit passes.
  • Meet the subject requirements for your chosen course.
  • Satisfy the applicable JAMB score and UTME subject combination.
  • Complete the university’s application and screening process.

The university’s general rule allows O’Level results from not more than two sittings. Course-specific conditions also apply.

O’Level Requirements by Course

Your five credits must include the subjects required for your programme. Having five credits in unrelated subjects will not meet the entry requirements.

The following breakdown follows the university’s programme entry requirements.

Management and Social Sciences

CourseRequired O’Level credits
AccountingEnglish Language, Mathematics and three relevant commercial or social science subjects, such as Accounting, Commerce and Economics
Business AdministrationEnglish Language, Mathematics and three relevant business or social science subjects
Criminology and Security StudiesEnglish Language, Mathematics and any three of Economics, Government, History, Literature in English, Biology, Geography or Religious Studies
International RelationsEnglish Language, Mathematics, Government or History, and two other relevant subjects

For Business Administration, the university gives Economics, Financial Accounting, Marketing, Commerce and Business Methods as examples of relevant subjects.

The Sociology entry on its programme page specifies English Language, Mathematics, one of Economics, Geography or Government, and two other relevant subjects.

Science and Computing

CourseRequired O’Level credits
Computer ScienceEnglish Language, Mathematics, Physics and two other relevant science subjects
Cyber SecurityEnglish Language, Mathematics, Physics and two other relevant science subjects
Information TechnologyEnglish Language, Mathematics, Physics and two other relevant science subjects

MicrobiologyEnglish Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Physics with ElectronicsEnglish Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one other relevant science subject
Science Laboratory TechnologyEnglish Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Allied Health Sciences

Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science and Doctor of Physiotherapy require credits in these five subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

For Public Health, the university lists English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Health Science, and Physics or another relevant science subject.

These are O’Level requirements. Your UTME subject combination is a separate part of admission eligibility.

JAMB Subject Combinations and Cut-Off Marks

Use the JAMB Eligibility Checker to check the subject combination for your course and institution before completing a course selection or change of course. It provides a dedicated route for checking admission requirements.

The university’s programme entries require an acceptable JAMB score but do not specify a numerical departmental cut-off for each course.

The 150 UTME score stated in its pioneer scholarship conditions is a scholarship eligibility threshold. It should not be presented as the confirmed departmental cut-off for Nursing, Physiotherapy or every other programme.

Direct Entry Requirements

Direct Entry applicants must meet the relevant O’Level requirements as well as the qualification listed for their course.

Management and Social Sciences

CourseDirect Entry qualification
AccountingAt least two relevant A-Level passes, including one in Accounting, Commerce or Economics
