Which Resumption Date Applies to You?

Freshers and HND students resume on 7 December 2026 to begin first-semester registration. This is earlier than the January date for lectures.

After the Christmas/New Year break, all students resume on 18 January 2027. Registration for National Diploma II (ND II) students also begins that day.

Freshers have orientation and ICT training from 18 to 22 January, before lectures start for everyone on 25 January 2027.

Registration Dates and Late Penalties

The calendar gives different late-registration periods for the two student groups:

  • ND I and HND students: 25–29 January 2027.
  • ND II students: 15–19 February 2027.

Both periods attract a penalty, but the notice does not state the amount. Students should complete registration before their applicable late-registration period to avoid the penalty.

The list of registered ND I and HND students is scheduled for publication on 1 February 2027.

Matriculation, Tests and Examinations

The matriculation ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, 16 February 2027.

Continuous assessment for all students follows on 1–5 March 2027. Revision takes place on 5–9 April, ahead of first-semester examinations from 12 to 30 April 2027.

These are the general examination dates. The calendar does not contain individual course examination times, so students will need their examination timetable to know when each paper holds.

Does This Calendar Include the Second Semester?

No. The supplied calendar covers the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic session only. It does not give a second-semester resumption date.

Students should use the dates above to plan registration and attendance, while checking departmental notices for course timetables and any subsequent adjustments.
