Who Can Apply?
UTME Candidates
UTME applicants need five relevant O’Level credit passes, normally obtained in not more than two sittings. They must also meet the JAMB subject combination and score requirements for their chosen programme.
The required O’Level subjects depend on the course:
| Course or group | O’Level subjects |
|---|---|
| Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science and Physiotherapy | English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics |
| Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology and Software Engineering | English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two other relevant science subjects |
| Microbiology and Science Laboratory Technology | English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics |
| Accounting and Business Administration | English Language, Mathematics and relevant commercial or social science subjects |
| International Relations | English Language, Mathematics, Government or History, and two other relevant subjects |
Applicants for other courses can find their subject requirements on the university’s programme page.
Direct Entry Candidates
Direct Entry applicants need an accepted qualification in a relevant discipline, alongside the required O’Level credits.
Depending on the programme, accepted qualifications include:
- Relevant A-Level passes.
- National Diploma or Higher National Diploma.
- Nigeria Certificate in Education.
- Relevant university degrees.
- Specified professional qualifications for health-related courses.
The qualification and minimum grade differ by course. For example, Computer Science accepts relevant diploma or NCE qualifications at credit level, while some management programmes specify Upper Credit for diploma applicants. Nursing and other health courses have their own professional entry conditions.
Use the university’s admission guidance together with the requirements for your selected programme.
What Is the Cut-Off Mark?
The university’s admission guidance requires candidates to meet the score prescribed for their programme but does not give a numerical cut-off for each department.
The 150 UTME score listed in the Pioneer Students Scholarship conditions applies to scholarship eligibility. It should not be treated as a confirmed admission cut-off for every course.
For your application, check the requirements for the exact programme you want to study through the admissions office and the JAMB Eligibility Checker.
How Much Is the Admission Form?
The High-Flyers University application fee is ₦20,000.
This is separate from the ₦100,000 acceptance fee payable after an admission offer. Tuition ranges from ₦850,000 to ₦1,350,000 per session, depending on the course. The amounts are listed on the university’s tuition and fees page.
