SAZU Physical Screening 2026/2027: Fifth-Batch Deadline

SAZU’s fifth-batch physical-screening notice gives Friday, 23 October 2026 as the closing date for its shortlisted candidates. The university published that notice on 8 October. Check your name and programme on the official fifth-batch list, then confirm the campus you should attend.

The earlier merit, second-, third- and fourth-batch notices gave a 28 September–9 October 2026 screening window. Those dates remain part of the earlier notices. The fifth-batch announcement does not say that its deadline automatically applies to every earlier candidate, and it does not give a new start date.

Key highlights

  • Session: 2026/2027
  • Latest notice: Fifth batch, published 8 October 2026
  • Closing date in that notice: Friday, 23 October 2026
  • Venue: The campus where your programme is based
  • Before attending: Upload your O’Level result through a JAMB-accredited centre
  • After successful screening: Check JAMB after two to three days to accept the offer and print your admission letter

Which admission notice applies to you?

Match your name and programme to the university’s official list. The dates below distinguish when a notice was published from the screening period it gives.

SAZU 2026/2027 admission notices and screening dates
Official list Notice published Screening dates stated
Merit list 17 July 2026 28 September–9 October 2026
Second batch 27 July 2026 28 September–9 October 2026
Third batch 19 August 2026 28 September–9 October 2026
Fourth batch 11 September 2026 28 September–9 October 2026
Fifth batch 8 October 2026 Closes 23 October 2026; no start date stated

If you are on an earlier list and missed its stated window, ask the university which instructions now apply to you. Do not assume that you can use the fifth-batch deadline without confirmation.

Which campus should you attend?

The notices direct candidates to the campus where their programme is based. They do not provide a programme-by-campus allocation table. Confirm your destination with SAZU before travelling rather than relying on a general campus description.

Documents to bring

Bring originals and photocopies of your SSCE result printout, JAMB result, online screening form, a recent passport photograph and an O’Level verification scratch card. These requirements appear in the university’s screening notices.

Upload your O’Level result on the JAMB portal at an accredited centre before you attend. Keep your original documents safe during the visit.

What to do before and at screening

  1. Check your name, programme and applicable notice on the university’s website.
  2. Confirm your programme’s campus and the screening deadline that applies to your offer.
  3. Complete the O’Level upload and prepare the required originals and photocopies.
  4. Attend the correct campus with your documents for verification.

After screening: accepting your admission

SAZU instructs candidates to check the JAMB portal two to three days after successful screening to accept their admission and print the JAMB Admission Letter. This is a checking interval, not a claim that every offer must be accepted within three days.

The university also says candidates must accept their admission through JAMB before they can access it on the SAZU admission portal. Follow the instructions shown for your own offer.

If you miss a deadline

Contact the university promptly for guidance. The official notices reviewed set screening dates, but they do not support a blanket statement that all SAZU physical screening closed on 9 October or that every late candidate automatically loses admission.

Payment safety

The physical-screening notices reviewed do not state a screening payment amount. That does not establish that every admission-related step is free. Check any payment request through the university’s official channels, and do not pay someone who promises to add your name to a list or clear you without attending.

Questions about SAZU physical screening

What is the latest screening deadline?

The fifth-batch notice gives 23 October 2026 for its shortlisted candidates. Earlier notices give 9 October. Match your offer to the relevant notice.

Is this the same as online screening?

The physical exercise verifies candidates’ credentials at their programme’s campus. The university lists the online screening form as one of the documents to bring.
