MOUAU’s JAMB cut-off mark for the 2026/2027 academic session is 140 for all courses, including Microbiology, Computer Science, and Agricultural Economics. Candidates scoring 140 or above in JAMB UTME are eligible for MOUAU’s Post-UTME screening. This guide provides a detailed breakdown of cut-off marks, admission requirements, and tips to boost your chances.
Located in Umudike, Abia State, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture (MOUAU) is a premier federal institution founded in 1992, specializing in agriculture, sciences, and technology. Known for affordable fees (₦112,500–₦165,000; see MOUAU School Fees 2026), MOUAU attracts thousands of applicants yearly. This post offers the latest 2026/2027 cut-off mark details, surpassing competitors with comprehensive insights, practical advice, and answers to common questions.
MOUAU Cut Off Mark for 2026/2027
The management of MOUAU has set the JAMB UTME cut-off mark at 140 for the 2026/2027 academic session, consistent with the 2026/2027 benchmark. This applies to all undergraduate programs across MOUAU’s 12 colleges, including:
- College of Agricultural Economics and Extension
- College of Engineering and Engineering Technology
- College of Natural Sciences
- College of Veterinary Medicine
Key Points:
- Candidates scoring 140 or above in JAMB UTME are eligible to purchase the MOUAU Post-UTME form.
- Scoring 140 does not guarantee admission; you must pass the Post-UTME screening and meet O’Level requirements.
- MOUAU’s cut-off is lower than many federal universities (e.g., UNILAG at 200), making it accessible but competitive for high-demand courses like Computer Science.
Departmental Cut Off Marks
MOUAU typically does not publish departmental cut-off marks publicly. However, based on trends and web insights, estimated departmental cut-offs for 2026/2027, combining JAMB and Post-UTME scores, are:
| Course | Estimated Departmental Cut-Off (Aggregate) |
|---|---|
| Microbiology | 190–200 |
| Computer Science | 190–200 |
| Agricultural Engineering | 180–190 |
| Veterinary Medicine | 200–210 |
| Agricultural Economics | 160–170 |
| Home Economics | 160–170 |
Notes:
- Aggregate scores are calculated as: (JAMB score ÷ 8) + (Post-UTME score ÷ 2). For example, a JAMB score of 200 (200 ÷ 8 = 25) and Post-UTME score of 60 (60 ÷ 2 = 30) gives an aggregate of 55.
- Competitive courses (e.g., Veterinary Medicine) require higher aggregates due to limited slots.
- Check the MOUAU portal for updates, as departmental cut-offs may vary post-screening.
