FUOTUOKE Courses and Requirements 2026/2027: UTME and Direct Entry

Make this easier to read

Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE) lists 51 undergraduate programmes for 2026/2027, including Nursing Science, Law, Medical Laboratory Science, Computer Science and Informatics, Accounting and six Engineering courses. UTME applicants need at least 150 in the 2026 UTME, the relevant O’Level credits and the correct subjects for their chosen course.

The university’s general undergraduate entry rule requires five relevant O’Level credit passes in not more than two sittings. Direct Entry applicants need an accepted qualification in a relevant discipline and must also meet the programme’s O’Level requirements.

FUOTUOKE UTME Admission Requirements

For the 2026/2027 admission exercise, applicants must:

  1. Score 150 or above in the 2026 UTME.
  2. Select FUOTUOKE as their first-choice institution, or complete the required change of institution.
  3. Choose a programme included in the university’s admission notice.
  4. Meet the relevant O’Level and UTME subject requirements.
  5. Complete the university’s applicable screening process.
  6. Upload their O’Level results to JAMB CAPS.

The university states that applicants whose O’Level results are not uploaded to CAPS will not be considered for admission.

Does Scoring 150 Guarantee Admission?

No. 150 is the general screening eligibility score, not a guaranteed admission score for Nursing, Law, Engineering or any other course.

A candidate must still meet the subject requirements and the university’s selection conditions. The 2026/2027 screening notice does not establish a final departmental merit cut-off for every programme.

FUOTUOKE O’Level Requirements

The university’s undergraduate handbook requires five relevant credit passes in not more than two sittings. It recognises qualifications including WAEC, NECO, GCE and NABTEB, or their equivalents.

The exact subjects depend on the course. The following requirements are published on the university’s undergraduate admission page.

Requirements That Need Further Confirmation

The university’s general admission page does not provide a complete subject table for every programme in its newer 2026/2027 course list.

It also contains incomplete O’Level entries for Entrepreneurship, Mathematics Education, and History and International Studies. These entries should not be interpreted as allowing fewer than the general five required credits.

For Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Law, Cybersecurity and other courses without a complete entry on that page, check the current FUOTUOKE entry in JAMB’s Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System and confirm any uncertainty with the university before changing courses or paying for an application.

FUOTUOKE JAMB Subject Combinations

The table below presents the combinations published on FUOTUOKE’s admission page. Use of English is already included in every row.

The university’s Physics Education entry is worded as English, Physics, Mathematics or Chemistry, plus another subject. Confirm the exact permitted combination through JAMB before registering.

These tables are not a complete subject guide for all 51 courses. Where a course is missing, its combination has not been guessed. Check the institution-specific JAMB requirements, including any special consideration or waiver.

O’Level Subjects and UTME Subjects Are Different

A subject may be required at O’Level even when it is not compulsory in the UTME combination.

For example, FUOTUOKE’s published Biochemistry requirements include an O’Level credit in Physics, while the UTME combination permits Physics or Mathematics alongside English, Biology and Chemistry.

Check both sets of requirements before deciding that you qualify.

FUOTUOKE Direct Entry Requirements

FUOTUOKE’s 2026/2027 Direct Entry notice identifies the following qualifications:

  • NCE.
  • OND/ND.
  • HND.
  • A first degree.
  • A’Level qualifications.

The qualification must be in a relevant discipline or subject. Applicants must also satisfy the chosen programme’s O’Level requirements and select FUOTUOKE as their first choice through JAMB Direct Entry.

The notice does not publish one universal minimum CGPA or A’Level points requirement for all courses. An accepted qualification type does not mean every grade or subject combination qualifies.

Courses Listed for Direct Entry in 2026/2027

The Direct Entry notice lists 29 programmes, fewer than the UTME course list.

Nursing, Law, Medical Laboratory Science and Cybersecurity are not included in this particular Direct Entry notice. Their availability through UTME should not be taken as confirmation of a Direct Entry opening.

Documents Required for Direct Entry

The university’s notice requires:

  • A digital passport photograph.
  • O’Level result.
  • Local government identification letter.
  • Birth certificate or age declaration.
  • Relevant NCE, OND, HND, first-degree or A’Level certificate.
  • Academic transcript.

The passport photograph is requested in JPG format, while the other listed documents are requested as PDF files.

How to Check Whether You Qualify

Before choosing or changing to a FUOTUOKE course:

  1. Confirm the course and entry route. Check whether it is listed for UTME or Direct Entry.
  2. Check your O’Level credits. Match the actual subjects, not just the total number of credits.
  3. Check your UTME subjects or DE qualification. A qualifying score alone cannot settle a subject mismatch.
  4. Confirm programme-specific conditions. Use JAMB’s institution-specific brochure entry and the university’s admissions office.
  5. Check the application window. A course being listed does not mean applications remain open.

The 2026/2027 notices used for this guide had application deadlines before October 2026. This article explains courses and eligibility; it is not an announcement that screening applications are currently open.
