What the Calendar Means for New and Returning Students
New students should complete registration within the 26 October to 7 November 2026 window and prepare for matriculation on 24 November 2026. Returning students follow the same registration window. Anyone who misses it can still register during late registration from 9 to 14 November 2026, which one aggregator reports attracts a ₦5,000 charge. That figure has not been confirmed from an official NAUB notice, so check with the Registry before paying.
Lectures start on 9 November 2026, which means late registrants begin classes at the same time as everyone else. The long mid-semester break from 24 December 2026 to 14 February 2027 is followed by the final lecture block and revision before first-semester examinations on 30 March 2027.
Students on SIWES should note that the placement is scheduled to begin on 9 August 2027, immediately after second-semester examinations end.
