FUTB Cut-Off Marks for All Courses 2026/2027

Make this easier to read

For the 2026/2027 academic session, the Federal University of Technology, Babura (FUTB) has set its general JAMB cut-off mark at 140 for most courses. However, a few programs-such as Civil Engineering and Cyber Security-require a higher cut-off of 150.

To be eligible for admission and the Post-UTME screening, candidates must meet or exceed the specified cut-off for their chosen course and possess at least five relevant O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.

Note: The table above reflects the most recent official information from the university and aligns with JAMB’s minimum requirement for universities in Nigeria.

Admission and Screening Requirements

  • UTME Score: Candidates must meet or exceed the cut-off mark for their intended course.
  • O’Level: At least five (5) credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
  • First Choice: FUTB must be chosen as the first-choice institution in JAMB.
  • Post-UTME: Participation in the university’s Post-UTME/screening exercise is mandatory.
  • Direct Entry: Applicants must have a minimum of Lower Credit in National Diploma or 6 points in IJMB for direct entry admission.

How FUTB Calculates Aggregate Score

FUTB typically combines your JAMB score and Post-UTME score, then divides by two to determine your aggregate:

Aggregate Score= JAMB Score + Post-UTME ÷ 2

A higher aggregate increases your chances, especially for competitive programs.

Key Insights and Tips

  • Civil Engineering and Cyber Security are the most competitive, with a cut-off of 150. Aim for a higher score to improve your admission prospects.
  • All other courses require at least 140. However, higher scores offer better chances, especially if demand is high.
  • Meeting the cut-off does not guarantee admission; aggregate scores, O’Level performance, and available slots also play a role.

Bottom Line:
To qualify for admission into FUTB for 2026/2027, ensure you score at least 140 in JAMB for most courses and 150 for Civil Engineering and Cyber Security. Satisfy all O’Level and screening requirements, and aim for a high aggregate to boost your chances in this competitive process.
