Tips to Meet FUHSO Cut-Off Marks
- Target High JAMB Scores: For Medicine (230) or Pharmacy (220), aim for 240+ to be safe, as competition is intense.
- Prepare for Post-UTME: FUHSO’s Post-UTME covers English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Practice past questions from health sciences universities to score above 70% for competitive programs.
- Choose Less Competitive Courses: If your JAMB score is below 200, consider programs like Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, or Biochemistry, which have cut-offs of 190.
- Verify O’Level Results: Ensure your results include Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, as these are mandatory for all FUHSO programs.
Why Choose FUHSO?
FUHSO’s general cut-off mark of 180 aligns with other health sciences universities like FUHSI, reflecting its focus on quality education. Its high cut-offs for Medicine (230), Pharmacy (220), and Nursing (210) ensure excellence in competitive programs, while its specialized offerings cater to students pursuing careers in healthcare.
FUHSO’s establishment in 2020 and focus on health sciences address Nigeria’s need for medical professionals, and its facilities support practical training. However, the higher cut-offs for competitive programs may exclude candidates with lower scores, and its Post-UTME screening adds another layer of competition.
Compared to FUHSA, FUHSO has a higher general cut-off (180 vs. 160) and stricter departmental requirements, indicating greater demand. Candidates should monitor fuhso.edu.ng for Post-UTME dates and departmental updates.
